Beloved Brothers and Sisters!

Please I write to remind us that 5th Sunday of Lent – 21st March 2021 is the date for National Emergency Fund in all our dioceses.

30% of the collections remain in the Diocese under the Diocesan Bishop, to help respond to emergencies within the dioceses.

The rest 70% would be submitted to Caritas Nigeria and under the President of the Bishops Conference- Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze to help respond to National emergencies on behalf of the Catholic Church in Nigeria.

Kindly help us see that the collections are done in your dioceses.

Meanwhile the Bishops Conference has approved this collection and we are expected to operationalize that decision.
