Lending a Hand Can Light Up Your World

In a world often fixated on individual success and material gain, sometimes we forget the profound impact we can have on others. There’s an inherent beauty in extending a helping hand, particularly to those facing poverty, illness, or misfortune. It’s not just about fulfilling a societal duty, but about unlocking a transformative experience that enriches both the giver and the receiver.
At Oguta today under the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish, the Archbishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji blessed the new hospital named after Senator Francis A. Nzeribe of Oguta and built by the Governor Imo-State Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
This Ultra Modern Hospital will be managed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri through the Health Unit of the Department of Church and Society Owerri Catholic Archdiocese. His Grace gracefully graced the occasion by blessing and anointing the Sick, and ended it up with the celebration of the Holy Mass.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Gerald C Njoku the JDPC Coordinator and the Director of the Church and Society of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri and his team came with items such as Garri, bags of Rice, Indomie, yams, salt, cartons of milk, milo and other beverages. They also added new rappers and some fairly used clothes.
Other priests in attendance were the health director of the Catholic Archdiocese Rev. Fr. Justin Okoro and his team of nurses and the Chancellor of the Archdiocese Rev. Fr. Dr. Patrick Mbara. Our host was the Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart Parish Rev Fr Nicholas Ijemalu. Not less than ten other priests were also in attendance. It was indeed a happy outreach to the greater glory of God.
