Bishop Dugu Offers Hope to IDP Children
On 15th September 2024, Bishop Dugu of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala took a significant step towards the future of two young children, TERHEMEN Jennifer Mesuur and AGBA Aondoawase Timothy. These two children, who have been living in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Anyiin and Ugba, were sent to Araceli Aid Foundation Academy in Enugu State to begin their secondary school education.
The diocese expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the founder and management of Araceli Academy for their generous scholarship offer. This opportunity will give Jennifer and Timothy a chance to pursue their academic dreams in a supportive environment. Additionally, the diocese reaffirmed its dedication to the ongoing care and education of these children, supported by the generosity of friends both locally and internationally.
With God’s grace, the diocese is committed to ensuring the children’s well-being and success at Araceli Academy, serving as a beacon of hope for other displaced children in similar circumstance.
