JDPC Awka Plants Trees for a Greener Future at Holy Family Spiritual Year Seminary
Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) of Awka Diocese embarked on a commendable tree-planting initiative at the Holy Family Spiritual Year Seminary, located in Okpuno. This event, under the banner of “Tree Planting by JDPC, Awka,” brought together members of the commission, seminary staff, and students for a day dedicated to environmental stewardship.
The importance of trees in our environment cannot be overstated. Trees act as nature’s lungs, absorbing harmful carbon dioxide and releasing life-giving oxygen. They provide habitats for countless species, prevent soil erosion, and regulate local climates. By planting trees, JDPC Awka is taking a vital step towards a greener future for our planet and our communities.
The event at Holy Family Spiritual Year Seminary was a resounding success. Dozens of trees were planted on the seminary grounds, contributing to the beautification of the space while promoting environmental awareness. This initiative serves as a powerful testament to the commitment of JDPC Awka to ecological well-being.
We encourage all members of the Awka Diocese to join us in our efforts to protect our environment. Planting trees is a simple yet impactful way to make a difference. Let us all work together to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
