Empowering Women and Youth through Inclusive Governance: AEJ-WAY Project Hosts Chairmanship Election Debate in Plateau State
As part of the Accessible and Equitable Justice for Women and Youth (AEJ-WAY) initiative, project participants organized a vibrant election debate ahead of the upcoming Chairmanship election scheduled for October 9 in Plateau State. This initiative is a significant outcome of the AEJ-WAY intervention, supported by Caritas Nigeria and JDPC (Justice, Development, and Peace Commission) Pankshin and Jos.
The AEJ-WAY project, which focuses on advocating for the inclusion of women and youth in governance, made strides in promoting active civic participation by engaging election aspirants in discussions on critical community issues. Through this debate, the group initiated an essential dialogue on how future leaders plan to ensure community development, good governance, and the representation of marginalized groups, particularly women and youth.
By mobilizing support for the election, AEJ-WAY participants are driving grassroots advocacy, working towards a future where women and youth have a voice in leadership and decision-making processes.
