CARITAS Nigeria marks her 10 years anniversary of her existence in Nigeria.

One may ask, what was in the mind of the initiators and creators of the Caritas Nigeria Ten years ago? One is also tempted to ask, when setting up CARITAS Nigeria in 2010, was success guaranteed. For sure no one knows the future, but the management team at Caritas Nigeria carefully chose the part and determinedly journeyed for growth and impact in the society. Today, Caritas Nigeria is a success story and celebrates her 10 years anniversary.

As Caritas Nigeria marks this milestone in its history, it obviously the time to revisit its vision, mission, core values and commitment to the task she has chosen.

Vision: A Harmonious society where everyone enjoys fullness of life.

Mission: Advance the well-being of all through participatory measures in line with Catholic Social Teaching.

As she marks a decade in existence and reminisce on the journey so far, it is also time for a re-evaluation and prepare for the future. We may borrow from the words of Jim Rohn “Now is the Time to fix the next ten years”.  The Caritas Nigeria has put its hand on the plough and there is no turning back. There is more to achieve, more impacts to make.

Yes, there is still much work to do, to see that everyone enjoys a harmonious society, where fullness of life is guaranteed. Of course, with the limited funds available, Caritas Nigeria would continue to do its best to achieve this mandate… one day at a time. On the 22^nd of October every year, CARITAS – Nigeria celebrates its vision, mission and growth.
