JDPC Onitsha Empowers Youths with Entrepreneurial Skills
The Justice, Development, and Peace Committee (JDPC) of Onitsha Archdiocese is tackling unemployment and its associated social issues head-on. They recently provided training to 80 youths from Iyiowa Odekpe, equipping them with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and create positive change in their community.
Combating Challenges Through Opportunity
The training program recognized the link between unemployment and social issues like kidnapping, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and cultism. By equipping young people with entrepreneurial skills, JDPC Onitsha empowers them to chart a brighter future.
Building Sustainable Success
The training focused on key areas for aspiring entrepreneurs:
- Sustainable Financial Freedom: Participants gained valuable insights on achieving long-term financial stability through their businesses.
- Creating Job Opportunities: The program explored strategies for generating employment not just for themselves but for others in the community.
- Social Media Marketing: Participants learned effective ways to leverage social media platforms to promote their products and services.
- Product Creation: The training offered practical guidance on creating in-demand products like stain remover, Dettol antiseptic solution, and body perfume.
Investing in the Future
JDPC Onitsha’s initiative is a powerful example of investing in the future. By empowering young people with entrepreneurial skills, they are fostering a generation of self-sufficient individuals who can contribute positively to their community’s economic and social well-being.
