The Justice, Development, and Peace Committee (JDPC) of Onitsha Archdiocese marked the UN International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a powerful outreach program at St. Anthony of Padua Secondary School, Nkpor Junction.

Empowering 1000 Students to Say No!

Over 1,000 students participated in the program, gaining crucial knowledge about the dangers of hard drugs and drug abuse. Through interactive sessions, students were equipped to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

A Powerful Message Through Performance

A captivating short drama served as a powerful tool for raising awareness. The play’s message of resisting drug use resonated with the students, encouraging them to choose healthy alternatives.

Rewarding Knowledge and Leaving a Lasting Impact

The program wasn’t just informative; it was also engaging. Students who actively participated and answered questions correctly received exercise books as a reward for their attentiveness.

A Permanent Reminder: Plaque Unveiled

To solidify the program’s impact, a plaque detailing the effects of drug abuse was mounted in a strategic location within the school. This permanent reminder will serve as a continuous source of information and a call to action for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
